Katherine Brown

Head of Impact Investing, World Economic Forum

Katherine Brown is Practice Lead – Investor Industries and Head of Impact Investing at the World Economic Forum. Prior to this role, she was the head of the European and Eurasian community for the Forum of Young Global Leaders as well as leading their portfolio of environment and sustainability initiatives and international education modules.

Katherine will deliver the luncheon keynote at 1 p.m. on Oct. 27 in the Auditorium.

Tomicah Tillemann

Director, Bretton Woods II, New America

Dr. Tomicah Tillemann is a leader in the fields of social impact, civic innovation, and diplomacy. He currently serves as Senior Fellow and Director of New America’s Bretton Woods II, which works with large, long-term asset holders to reduce their exposure to risk and volatility through strategic investments in social impact and development.

Tomicah will deliver the keynote address at 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 28 in the Auditorium.

Greg Shell

Managing Director, Bain Capital

Greg Shell joined Bain Capital Double Impact as a Managing Director in 2016. Prior to joining Bain Capital, Greg served as a Lead Portfolio Manager of a concentrated Global Equity product at GMO.
Previously, Greg was a Senior Equity Analyst at Columbia Management Group and a
Consultant at Bain & Company in its Strategy and Private Equity practice areas. He has owned
and done deep diligence on many businesses throughout his career, and demonstrated a
commitment for discovering and creating value.

Greg will be on the panel at “Impact Investing – Vision for the Next Decade.”

Marc van den Berg

Partner, DBL Partners

Marc is a Partner at DBL Partners. Prior to DBL, he was a General Partner at Technology Partners, which he joined in 2012. Marc’s venture investing career began early last decade when he spent six years as a Managing Director at VantagePoint Capital focused on energy and advanced technology investments. During Marc’s 10 years in venture investing he has backed numerous successful companies in the material science and energy efficiency sectors, such as Bridgelux, Amprius, iWatt and Kaiam Inc.
