Kamil’s focus has been building scalable, sustainable solutions for the emerging world. He started his career working closely with informal merchants through his time in SME Trade at Coca-Cola Pakistan. After this, he launched an m-health solution to help improve access to maternal health information for women in rural Pakistan. While completing a rotational program and managing AI-strategy for a major Canadian telecom, Kamil also gained a deep understanding of the importance of location analytics and mapping data – the beginnings of POKET.
Kamil has been recognized as a Top Global Innovator Under 30 by the World Innovation Summit for Health and is a recent graduate of UofT’s Creative Destruction Lab. He was also selected as one out of thirty “SOLVERS” from around the world by MIT during United Nations General Assembly Week in September. POKET’s other two co-founders (Naba & James) have both been awarded the Top 30 Under 30 Developer Award for Canada.
